A graduate of Western States Chiropractic College, Dr. Gard is also a board certified Applied Kinesiologist and is studying towards his Diplomate (advanced degree) in Applied Kinesiology. Dr. Gard also has advanced certification in the Activator Methods Chiropractic Technique. He is a member of the International Chiropractic Association, American Chiropractic Association, the International College of Applied Kinesiology and the Oregon Chiropractic Association.

Dr. Gard's passion is holistic healthcare which he has been involved in since 1982 . He maintains over 100 hours per year of continuing education in Applied Kinesiology, advanced adjustive techniques, nutrition, herbology and internal medicine. Dr. Gard has a unique ability to combine subtle energy techniques with very effective manual therapies to deliver a very thorough treatment. His prior education includes being a Candidate for Masters in Traditional Oriental Medicine, Acupuncture, Electro-acupuncture and Darkfield/Phase Contrast Microscopy. He is formerly a teaching assistant for the 100 hour Applied Kinesiology certification course taught annually in Portland and presently an associate clinical instructor for Activator Methods International.

Dr. Gard lives in Beaverton a suburb of the Portland/Vancouver Metropolitan area of Oregon with his wife and 2 girls. In his spare time he is on the board of directors for the Columbia Aviation Association where he also chairs the programs committee.
